Nowhere near as good as Fluid Cream

I was a big fan of the discontinued Fluid Cream (why?) and had high hopes for this product. Unfortunately this Water Gel is too dark for me (I ordered beige). It is a lot darker than the Fluid and I won’t be able to use this now, let alone in winter. When you first put it on it’s really yellowy, but it does turn a bit lighter during the course of the day.
It’s harder to put one as it ‘sets’ quite quickly.
Once on it does feel good, it’s a good formula that doesn’t dry my skin and it’s comfortable to wear. It definitely evens out skin tone.
Please bring back Fluid Cream? Or a lighter option than the beige (which is more for people with olive skin?).

Thank you for taking your time to leave us feedback, we appreciate it.
We completely understand your disappointment with the discontinuation of the Heliocare 360 Fluid Cream. To clarify, the original Heliocare 360 Fluid Cream was a tinted SPF, rather than a coloured or pigmented product. It provided light tone correction with a natural finish for all skin tones, designed more for daily skin protection than makeup-like coverage.

The Heliocare 360 Water Gel Colour, by contrast, is formulated to deliver greater coverage with a more foundation-style finish. As a result, the Beige shade can appear deeper and warmer - particularly suited to medium-toned skin and may not be the best match for fairer complexions.

If you're looking for something closer in finish and tone to the original Fluid Cream, we’d recommend trying the Heliocare 360° Age Active Fluid. It’s a lightly tinted fluid with a more universal tone, offering high-level sun protection and additional anti-ageing benefits, all in a lightweight and elegant formula. This may be a more suitable alternative for your skin tone and texture preferences

Poor alternative to 360 Fluid Cream. Disappointing.

I bought this as recommended by Cantabria labs as an alternative now that fluid cream is no longer available. Unfortunately it is very drying to my skin. On application it pills off to the point where I have little specs of brown sunscreen rolling off into the sink. What is left looks cake like on the skin. I used fluid cream for many years, it was a great product. Water base colour is not something I will repurchase.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, we really appreciate hearing about your experience.
To help prevent sunscreen from pilling, we recommend applying it to clean, dry skin, ensuring that all other skincare products have been fully absorbed beforehand. It’s also important to check the compatibility of your skincare routine, as using products with different base formulations can sometimes cause pilling. For example, combining an oil-based moisturizer with a water-based sunscreen like our Water Gel Color may lead to this issue.
Our customer service team will be in touch to discuss this further with you

Apply direct to cleansed skin before any other product

I've been using this product for a while and am really happy with it.
My top tip is to apply it to your skin after cleansing and toning and it should go on flawless. When I've tried to apply it over primer / serum / moisturiser it has gone flaky, but on bare toned skin it works just fine

Natural coverage

I have got on really well with this product. I mix my moisturiser with the bronze.
It gives me a lovely even sun-kissed glow. It keeps my skin hydrated all whilst protecting my skin.

Does not pump and is flaky

Having been a user of Heliocare products for over 10 years I have been really disappointed with this product for 2 reasons:
1. The product flakes and dries.
2.The pump is temperamental, meaning I often cannot get anything out of it which is a pain if I’m in a rush.

I wish you would bring back Heliocare Suntouch which was by far the best SPF/makeup product that I’ve ever used . I run a dermatology clinic and have always recommended Heliocare products to my patients, but I’m nervous about doing this now, because of my experience with the Water Gel.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience — we truly value your loyalty over the past 10 years and your support of Heliocare in your dermatology clinic.
We're sorry to hear that you may have received a faulty item. Our customer service team will be reaching out to you shortly to assist further.

Not a fan

I’ve used the gel oil free suncream before but as it’s matt and my skin is dry, I thought the water gel would be better suited. The colour is nice but on application this sort of flakes, if you apply and rub even lightly… I tried different ways of applying and always end up with it piling. Will use this up but don’t think I’ll be buying again.

Would not repur

The beige tone was a little darker than i expected, also your skin has to be well exfoliated for a smooth finish as it can crack and build up. However It does give fairly good coverage and likely to sit better if applied with a foundation brush.
