Cantabria Labs’ commitment to sustainability and sustainable skincare

Our goal of improving the health and quality of life for all would simply not be possible without caring for the environment too. That’s why Cantabria Labs are committed to building sustainable practice into every element of the business and beyond, caring for the environment and supporting communities and vulnerable groups across the world.

Sustainability in manufacturing

La Concha is Cantabria Labs’ environmentally sustainable production centre, set in 32,000m2 of green space. La Concha was designed to enable us to reach our sustainability goals with state-of-the-art production facilities powered by geothermal springs. The springs are at the heart of the Water Laboratory, which was created to begin a new field of research into its mineral medicinal properties for skincare, and to provide drinking water.

  • 100%

of the lighting at our work centres is low-energy consumption.

  • 100%

of the movement of materials in our warehouses is electric, 90% of which is renewably sourced.

  • 100%

of the electricity used at Cantabria Labs’ production facilities comes from renewable sources free from direct CO2 emissions.

  • 20%

of the electrical energy used at La Concha is completely clean since it is generated by its solar panels. The other 80% is certified 100% renewable.

Sustainability in skincare packaging

Cantabria Labs are focussed on the goal of reducing single-use plastic and increasing the use of sustainably sourced, recyclable materials for our skincare packaging. Significant ground has already been made in this area, with new materials and innovations being explored on an ongoing basis.
