HELIOCARE 360° A-R Emulsion SPF50+

I love this; it's a game changer!
I have had rosacea for years and finding products that my skin can tolerate is really hard: even products designed for sensitive skin from very reputable brands can flare my rosacea. But not this. My skin not only tolerates it, my skin thrives on it: it feels lovely, dampens down existing redness, and blurs 'thread' veins. Frankly it's been a godsend and I can't rate it highly enough!

I have skin that is really prone to inflammatory acne and this sunscreen is excellent. I've noticed after a few months that it has really evened out my skin tone, and I love the finish it leaves on the skin during the day. Not too matte but not unnaturally glowy. I've tried lots of them and I find this to be the best!

I was recommended Heliocare by a Consultant Dermatologist who was treating me for an unrelated skin condition. He recommended this variant because it is very good for rosacea and sensitivity. I’m just about to buy my third tube in the past year.

It’s an outstanding sun protection product. I’m very fair skinned and I burn incredibly easily. This product has withstood the onslaught of 34 degree heat in Malta in May/early June and the heatwave here in the UK. I do reapply it regularly throughout the day in hot weather. Otherwise, it’s reapplied at lunchtime and that’s it. No burning.

It’s also very good for around the eyes. I normally find that if I get anywhere near the eye socket, an SPF cream migrates into the eyes, with uncomfortable and greasy eyes being the result. This dries very quickly (2 minutes max) and is soon matte and there’s no migration around the eyes.

It’s lovely under makeup, provided that you let it dry first.

I love the tint: it’s subtle and, as others have mentioned, it blurs the spider veins on my cheeks.

Not suitable for sensitive rosacea-prone skin! Unfortunately, this product caused significant irritation after application and triggered a rosacea flare-up, even though my skin had been well under control. I experienced burning, itching, tingling, and increased redness.

The botanical ingredients may not be the best match for highly sensitive, reactive skin. It’s also possible that the hybrid formula, rather than a 100% mineral sunscreen, contributed to the reaction.

That said, I really liked the silky finish and the tint. It’s a shame it has those botanicals and it's not mineral only.

This works perfectly for me. Very light weight. Will be sticking with this.

I have tried the anti pigmentation version of this in the past and found the tint to be perfect on my colouring.
However it also caused mild sensitivity so purchased the A-R Emulsion this time assuming the tint would be the same. This formulation has been much better, causing no sensitivity at all, but the tint is so pale it makes me look ill. I have very pale skin, but this is just too much, so although the formulation and the spf are perfect, I don't think I'll purchase again.

My skin has got more sensitive since the menopause and I must have spent a fortune on skin products since.
I have been desperate to find a good sun protection product that doesn't aggravate my skin. Several people mentioned Heliocare so I thought I would give it a go.
I have been using it for 3 weeks now and it's been a really good find. My skin is not dry after use and it leaves it feeling soft. It also gives a slight coverage so my skin doesn't look as red.
I am so pleased I gave it a try.

I have very sensitive, rosacea-prone skin. The sun really sets my rosacea off but all other high spfs cause horrible allergenic reactions. But not this one! I’ve been using for over a year and I can’t be without this now. Yes it can make you look a little pale and chalky, I put up with that for the protection it gives. But it also makes a great base for makeup too.

This product was a real lifesaver for my dry skin - have been recommending it to all of my friends
