Background
Dr Catherine Fairris BSc (Hons), MB ChB, MRCP, MSc (Aesth), PG Cert qualified in Medicine from the University of Bristol in 2008, having previously earned a BSc in Pharmacology. She completed core medical training within the NHS and trained as a Rheumatology Registrar before specialising in Aesthetic Medicine.
She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and served as President of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) 24-25, an organisation for doctors and dentists practising in the field. Prior to her presidency, she was a trustee responsible for education and events.
In 2018, Dr Fairris was awarded a Master’s degree in Aesthetic Medicine with distinction from Queen Mary University of London. Her dissertation—An evidence-based comprehensive guide to volumization of the mid-face with dermal fillers, including a proposed algorithm for managing complications—was later published in Aesthetics Journal.
With extensive experience in injectable treatments, Dr Fairris has also published academic work on complications management, a particular area of interest that she continues to pursue. She believes aesthetic medicine is a distinct medical discipline and is committed to patient-centred care, ensuring that clinical needs remain at the core of every treatment plan.
